About Us

With Camp in the Hill, you can create the camp of your dreams right here in Manhattan. Sports, games, exploration and creation come together for a summer filled with FUN! Our age- and interest-tailored program provides engaging days filled with laughter, friendship, and enrichment. Camp programs include sports, creative arts workshops, music, drama/performing arts, STEM, exciting group games, and plenty of time for PLAY.

Camp in the Hill provides a fun, safe space for your children to explore, create and PLAY all summer long. We offer an extensive range of activities tailored to elementary school children that will help them develop physically, emotionally and socially. With our dynamic array of activities, there are engaging options to choose from each day! Throughout the day, campers will have opportunities for individual expression as well as exciting group activities where the campers will share in cooperative play. Our campers experience summertime fun and freedom while they choose to explore their specific interests, try new experiences, and make friends.

Your children can combine all of the activities for a FULL-DAY of fun, or can focus on one program for a HALF-DAY tailored specifically to their interests.

Camp in the Hill is open to all children aged 5 through those entering 5th grade. Children are grouped by age, and sometimes by ability, to ensure that their activities are appropriate and engaging.  Conveniently located in Murray Hill, we offer all of the activities your children love at a price you can't beat in NYC!

At Camp in the Hill, Hi-Five Sports offers our campers top-notch sports instruction every day. Hi-Five is dedicated to a full menu of team sports, classic playground games, and athletic play that engages both young minds and young bodies. It’s about so much more than winning and losing... it’s about teamwork, playing hard and playing fair, making new friends and enjoying the camaraderie. Campers spend the day doing what they love most - participating in major team sports like baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, lacrosse, floor hockey, and more. Campers will learn to develop their skills through daily “teaching stations” and actual games. Then, three afternoons per week, optional activities vary and may include 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, free-throw shooting contests, home run derby, capture the flag, and much more.

Each week we’ll have a camp-wide theme that will weave throughout all of our activities and will culminate in a camp-wide CELEBRATION at the end of each week. Campers will:

• Create their own carnival

• Build and race their own car

• Bring their imagination to life in the Maker Lab

• Film their own movies and screen them at our premiere party

• Show off their art at our gallery party

See our calendar for details on a typical day at Camp in the Hill and for more information on our weekly themes and activities!
