The Fine Print

Emergency/Accident Procedures:

If your child becomes ill or is hurt while at our program, he/she will be brought immediately to the camp office in room 116.  For any significant illness or injury, the parent/guardian will be immediately notified by phone. If the parent/guardian cannot be reached, the emergency contact will be called. If no one can be reached, a letter will be sent home in the child’s book bag. For serious medical problems, staff will call 911 immediately.
There are multiple program staff on site every day that are certified in CPR/AED and first aid. Camp in the Hill staff can administer only life-saving medications (Epinephrine Auto Injector, Asthma Inhalers or Nebulizers). If your child has allergies or asthma and needs medication, either occasionally or frequently, please discuss this with our staff immediately so that we may arrange how best to keep your child safe.

Behavioral Expectations:

Camp in the Hill strives to maintain an environment where children feel safe. All children should:

  • show respect for others, their space and their property, as well as the space and property of the areas in which we hold our camp,

  • cooperate with Camp in the Hill supervisors and counselors,

  • remain with their counselors during activities and until a parent/guardian signs them out at pick-up.

Unacceptable behaviors include: using profanity, disrespecting others and their space, failure to comply with directions, excessive horseplay, and inappropriate or violent physical contact. Camp in the Hill may report incidents of unacceptable behavior to the parents/guardians of all children involved. If your child becomes disruptive or does something dangerous, it will result in a suspension of the child’s next camp day. If the behavior continues, it could lead up to dismissal from Camp in the Hill. Camp in the Hill reserves the right to remove a child from the program for unacceptable behavior.
